Ok, so being an over-planner and penny-pincher, I requested bids from 5 different pool companies. One pool rep showed up punch drunk and wanted to sell me a million dollar pool off the side of my hill slope, put up a blockade to block my house from pool view (because it wasn't fancy enough), and cut windows in my house to view their creation. Then they never even provided a bid. Several others came out, but again failed to produce bids. Then Dickie rolled up . . .If you are planning on building a pool, "chill out, man" (Dickie's words) and give him a call. He'll build you a quaint little swimming hole like ours or a high end oasis.

We recently completed a pool with Fielder Custom Pools. Dickie was a pleasure to work with at all times, very pleasant and very knowledgeable. The work went very quickly. We were home through most of the construction and workers all were professional and the workmanship was good. Our job had a LOT of masonry. Dickie's mason was very good but it soon became apparent that the job was too big for him. Dickie listened to our concerns and brought in an 8 man masonry crew to complete the job. Communication was excellent and emails and phone calls were promptly returned.

We hired Fielder Custom Pools this past summer after a long process of learning about options, materials, equipment, and meeting with close to a dozen custom pool builders. Of course, pricing was a factor for us but it wasn't the only concern we had. We needed an experienced company who could handle a very difficult terrain. Our yard has a steep grade which runs in two separate directions, from one side to the other and downhill from the rear of the house. In addition, the yard is filled with mature oak trees and I was unwilling to remove a single tree. We could not be happier with the quality of the build, the construction process, and the pricing which was beyond fair. We were enjoying our pool exactly when Fielder said the job would be completed. We are loving our fire pit during this cold winter season. I would not use anyone other than them to build us a pool again!

My husband and I heard good things about Dickie and Kamie from a friend who had a Fielder Custom Pool. We liked what we heard about their experience and who they said Dickie and Kamie are. We got a bid and Dickie did a design we loved but we felt like we should get at least one other bid. Our home builder really pushed another 'big' pool company and so we met with them and got a design. Dickie's design was much more to our liking and it was obvious he listened when we talked about the look, feel and function we were going for.
