Hill Country Cenote'

Millions of years ago, in the Gulf of Mexico, the Earth was devastated by an enormous meteor.
It has, fairly recently, been identified as the cause of the dinosaur extinction. 80 % all life on the planet was killed off by this horrific asteroid collision from space.

Fast forward 65 million of years and here we are living and thriving on our beautiful blue planet.
The initial blast from the meteor in the Gulf left hundreds, if not thousands of pot craters all around the impact zone, mostly inland in Mexico. The Yucatan is a hot bed of leftover small craters, known today as Cenotes’. We at Fielder Custom Pools have visited many Cenotes’ while vacationing in the Yucatan, Mayan and Quintana Roo area of Mexico. Cenote’ never fail to amaze us with the natural beauty the Earth offers us to enjoy. These gorgeous clear, clean watering holes are filled with pristine water, sometimes spring fed, with native vegetation in a totally natural environment. Many times, the local native Indian and Mexican people use them as their sole source of water. Therefore, while visiting these sites, it’s important to respect the importance of preserving and protecting this wonderful, beautiful, natural eco scape that provides life to natives in the area.

We, at Fielder Custom Pools are amazed with these beautiful natural nature scapes. And of course, since we are in the swimming pool design and construction business, we are now offering to build your family your very own Cenote’ in your backyard, in the appropriate environment This is not your normal backyard pool in a crowded subdivision with fences, close neighbors etc. These one of a kind projects are custom designed, appropriately, for the client whom lives on acreage, mostly in the country, away from the city.

The idea and vision for a cenote’ pool, is dependent on the individual natural elements existing on each particular site. Fielder Custom Pools can design and create an extremely natural waterscape, if the site allows the perfect setting for installation. No concrete decking is permissible on a cenote’ pool. The client will need  to be prepared to have lush, native, vegetation and landscaping in abundance, installed around the cenote’ pool to create a hidden gem of a crystal clear, natural watering hole. Of course, as with all pools, there will have to be adequate electrical and water source available to the close proximity of the structure, for required equipment to maintain safe and clean water for all swimmers.

Current scientists agree, that the planet will be impacted by another gigantic meteor in the future. The expected collision is not a matter of if, but when it will happen. We have the ability to track and map asteroids/meteors with super telescopes today, so no need to worry that we’re doomed to perish anytime soon, without adequate warning. Science is working on different ideas to alter the paths of super meteors, if not totally destroy them before they impact our planet again.
