Fact-Checking and Corrections Policy

How Fielder Pools checks factual claims, reviews stale information, and handles correction or source-update requests from readers.

Fact-checking starts with claim scope. A statement about a product class, installation requirement, safety rule, climate condition, or named organization should be checked against a source current enough for the publication date.

Before publication

Editors verify names, dates, terminology, source URLs, attribution, and the relationship between a conclusion and its evidence. Automated checks can flag missing metadata. They do not replace editorial judgment.

Safety-standard claims are not published as blanket compliance statements. A specific certification is mentioned only when a named product or configuration has corresponding documentation.

After publication

Guides should be reviewed when the underlying manuals, codes, or product classes change. A changed timestamp should represent a substantive review or revision, not an automated freshness update.
