Does every article require the same evidence level?

No. The required evidence depends on the claim, but factual and time-sensitive assertions should be attributable and reviewable on the page.

Topic selection

Topics cover pool planning, design, construction, equipment, new-construction cover integration and materials. We do not publish local contractor service pages, pool-cover repair or replacement troubleshooting, or supplier and factory commercial pages.

Sourcing hierarchy

We prefer manufacturer installation manuals, official planning guides, public building or safety documents, and industry association materials. Reputable secondary reporting may supply context when a primary source does not address the issue.

Authorship and review

Articles may use the individual Lauren Crowe byline or the organizational Fielder Pools Editorial byline. Lauren is responsible for her writing and source review as an editor; the organizational byline identifies the desk responsible for its source-based guides. Neither establishes engineering or contractor credentials. A named reviewer is responsible for the stated review; a desk byline does not imply personal review. We do not add unverified credentials.

Evidence and interpretation

A sourced fact is not presented as first-hand field experience. Recommendations, comparisons, and planning frameworks are written so readers can tell editorial judgment from documented requirements.

Updates and corrections

Substantive changes receive an updated date. Corrections change the relevant text, keep an accurate update history, and do not silently reverse a material conclusion.
